Sources are important to include in your paper; we all know that. But the way that you incorporate those sources in your paper is what’s truly important. On paper one and paper two, I was more focused on getting the meaty quotes to include on my paper, to make sure that it supports not only the paragraph it was in but also my thesis statement. While gathering the quotes is important, I needed to make sure that all of the sources that I am working with also connect with one another. I have the tendency to introduce the sources and quotes in the paragraph then left it alone. On paper 3, I wanted to make sure that the three sources integrate with one another rather than them being alone in separate paragraphs. I was able to learn that technique by the meeting that I had with Sinead when we were revising my paper. As my reading skills improve over the course of the class, I was able to find parallels between sources that I am working with and use it to support the topic sentences. Below is an example from paper 3 of how I integrate two sources together to support the paragraph. By connecting quotes from Andersen and Herzog, I was able to strengthen the paragraph even more and support my thoughts.
