Paper 3 shows my ability to cite sources using MLA guidelines and to make local revisions to correct the typical errors. In high school, we were told to use online generators and never given the proper “formula” on where to exactly put authors, title, publication date, etc. We always relied on our best friend, easybib. It was as simple as “copy and paste the link, then click submit” and there it was. A beautiful, perfect MLA format for works cited, or is it? Ever since we were given the formula in English 110, it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I was able to get the hang of it for the next few papers as well as other papers I am writing in other classes. However, in-text citations in MLA format was something that I kind of struggled with. I didn’t even know that there is such thing as in-text citations in MLA format. I thought it would be the same despite the kind of format is supposed to be. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to include both the author and the page that the quote is in. During peer review, in-text citations and making sure that the quotes and/or sources were cited properly which is extremely helpful.
